My Roommate is a Detective (民国奇探) is a Republican suspense drama set in the late ’20s when strange and supernatural cases are surging in the undercurrents. The no-nonsense police officer, the brilliant young student and the nosy female reporter make up our crime solving trio. The three main cast; Hu Yi Tian (A Love So Beautiful), Zhang Yun Long (My Poseidon) and Xiao Yan (The Legends) attended the booting ceremony today which also marks its first day of filming. The drama will be directed by Zhang Weike (I Am Your Best Match) with 36 episodes and a 2020 release date.
