On May 23rd. the 25th Shanghai Television Festival (STVF), home of the Magnolia Awards announced the official list of nominations. Leading with 8 nods is this year’s most successful drama All is Well which got nominations for Best TV Series, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Actress in a Supporting Roles and two Best Supporting Actors.
Period drama, The Story of Minglan scored 7 nominations including Best TV Series, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Art Direction, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress categories.
The 2019 STVF runs from June 10-14. International wards are also given out for Best TV Drama, Best Film/Miniseries and Best TV Series/Serial. The awarding ceremony will be held on the evening on June 14th.
