Zheng Shuang Stars in Female-centric Drama Fighting Youth

It’s rare to see an all-female lead drama these days. A story where the main focus are the lives of the female characters. Normally we see dramas with a male lead and a female lead or the more common “love square”. The only other drama similar to this in recent years is Ode to Joy 欢乐颂 which stars Liu Tao, Jiang Xin, Wang Zi Wen, Yang Zi, and Qiao Xin. The drama was so popular and relevant that it spawned a sequel.

Fighting Youth or Youth Fight 青春斗 is a modern romantic comedy about five different girls who meet in the university and share their life struggles and triumphs with each other forging relationships along the way. It stars Zheng Shuang (Love 020, Hi I’m Saori) in the lead role as Xiang Zhen, joined by Gai Yue Xi (The Precipice Game), Xu Yue (When a Snail Falls in Love), Chen Xiao Yun (Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace) and Wang Xiu Zhu (The Taoism Grandmaster, When We Were Young). The drama is directed by Zhao Baogang (My Youthfullness,Love Story in Shanghai) and will start airing on March 24, 2019 over Dragon TV and streaming site Mango TV.
